A wine that surprises us with its complexity and intensity. Its rich cherry red color is clear, with intense notes of forest fruits and pepper, combined with aromas of vanilla and chocolate. On the palate, the tannins are pleasant, full-bodied, complex, with refreshing acidity and a long finish. It’s an ideal wine to pair with well-seasoned dishes and red meats.
La Azul is a small winery located at the foot of the imposing Cordón del Plata, part of the Andes Mountains, in the Uco Valley, the heart of Mendoza province. For generations, since Francisco Hinojosa arrived in these lands more than 60 years ago, we have cultivated grapes to produce high-quality wines, but it wasn’t until this century that the dream of all those generations became a reality. In 2003, Bodega La Azul was born.
